hi everyone
i have to open  / lock the omega with the key,as the battery holder on the remote is goosed.
ive noticed a ticking noise from under the drivers side dash (right hand drive),once i have opened the door and until i start the car.

first thoughts were that my wife had planted a bomb,so she could make a life insurance claim, but ive luckily been able to dismiss this theory.

any ideas welcomed

Bill

It will be the alarm going off. ;)

Sounds like someone has disabled the alarm horn and siren (or they have failed by themselves - not uncommon).

The alarm will only disarm if you unlock the car with the remote or unlock with the key and then start it with the immobiliser chip present.

Have a look and see if the indicators are flashing too - if not, someone has disabled them too.

yes, should do, but you might want to source the missing bits to reinstate the alarm. :y
