Replacement Track Rod arms Front and Rear
« on: 06 April 2012, 19:28:08 »

Last weekend had my steering geometry/steering/alignment done at a place near me recommended on the WIM website.
As I was putting the refurbed MV6 17's back on and the Winters off I thought I'd get it done.

All 4 of the track rods (2x front 2x rear) were seized. Out came blow torches and other interesting paraphernalia but to no avail - nothing would move.
As it happened and luckily only one wheel was out 'a fraction' - everything else within the recommended range front and rear

So, I need to find 4 adjustable track rods.
Is it a false economy to fit second hand or should I fit new?

Advice is sought, here , please.
Let me know what you reckon.

I agree with chris, buy new for the front and good luck for the rears, not sure if you can get the rears for the omega aftermarket so it might be a case of going to VX. The front track rods are easy to get hold of aftermarket or VX but the VX ones are expensive you could be looking at about £80 ish per side where as aftermarket about £35 for both. Now I got mine from Vaux World off the bay of e cost me £30 delivered for both sides.
