Stunning
« on: 07 April 2012, 20:23:23 »

Opposite a garage I delivered a car to this morning was an undertakers who have recently upgraded their fleet with these http://www.limousines.co.uk/jaguar.ihtml . The hearse looks good, although that's not a flattering picture.

The stretched XJ saloon however looks absolutely stunning, unlike most stretched cars these days.

SWMBO's uncle's funeral in Edinburgh had 'a hearse & two' that were the previous XJ Jag. They were in black over a deep maroon & were stunning cars. Obviously the occasion dictated I couldn't really study them.
A few undertakers around and about here are using the Ozzy Ford Fairlanes. Not bad looking cars. http://www.hearses.co.uk/news/do_viewStory_25

The hearse looks better in the metal; far better than any others I've seen from modern cars. It's also much better than the Montego estate based hearse that a local firm have!

Our local ones also have the new XJ, in a very deep maroon metallic. Utterly stunning.

However, Woman is under strict instructions that my hearse and limos are to have a V8, preferably a loud one. And none of this slow procession nonsense, my last trip should be down the Helmsley TT and back to the crematorium...

You could have a new sport there. A line of 5l + hearses each fitted with remote control and a stiff and then race them until all but one has crashed out in a fireball. Winner gets strapped to an old tomahawk missile for the final burst of speed to final resting place. Can't be worse than watching golf!
