How easy are Miggys to "nick" then ?     Not that easy I would have thought.  :-\ :-\       Possibly a spare key held back by previous owner or someone they knew ? >:( >:( >:(   unlikely but if its just been opened ,started & driven away.

Hope it turns up for you ,will  keep my eyes peeled down here in Southend

Indeed might be worth a drive-by of the previous owners house/area.
with it double locked etc it is near on impossible to break into

Thinking about this . . . was it a "private" buy ?    you have only had it a week, you have to put your address onto the old V5 which the previous owner then sends off to DVLA for you receive a new one

Has only to have a spare key ( possible even if you got 2 keys with it )

He /she only has to hold back a key & give it & your address to someone he knows & they go around to yours unlock car & drive away.

Never thought of this scenario before . . ..     bit worrying eh? :o :o :o :o :o

Agreed it has to be someone with a key,a deadlocked Vauxhall is a pain to get into without glass breakage

First thing that came to me was an additional key - best of luck getting it back will look out up here but not much chance

One for you experts - how easy would it be to put additional manual immobilisation on a mig. I used to have a hidden switch that grounded the coil on my older none ecu cars but would not know how to do on a modern car. Could you emulate the cars immobaliser? or stop the fuel pump from working?. It must be poss as the do it to that bait cars

Will keep an eye out.

This is why I clear out all the registered transponders off the immobiliser ECU and just put back on the ones I have with the vehicle on any Vauxhall I purchase.

You need a Tech II or Opelscanner (or possibly that other device we don't discuss!).

Quite often find 3 transponders registered which means a previous owner probably lost one of the keys in the past.
