What a lousy day
« on: 14 April 2012, 17:32:21 »

I have had a foul day. Fixing son's Astra and managed to start it in gear, it goes forward into his old Saxo, now Astra and Saxo are moving towards the open garage door, Saxo goes in garage and hits cement mixer.  All the while I am trying to get in the car and grab the key, the key I thought snapped off but only seperated into its 2 pieces, the grab gear lever and force into nutral.

Results are : My back hurts, my shoulder hurts. The saxo was pretty bad but is now only fit for scrap. The Astra has a hole punched in the front bumper by the saxo towing eye. The saxo rear bumper is deformed slightly and the towing eye is bent. The saxo now has a damaged front wing from hitting the cement mixer. I don't think the cement mixer is damaged, but it moved a fair way and scattered much garage junk all over the place.

So if anyone want a saxo for spares or repair, you know where to find one, (only joking, not trying to sell car here, it is going to breakers yard.)

I can now see the funny side, and it all happened in a couple of seconds.

So have a laugh guys at my expense, I suppose it happened because I am to used to auto's

 ;D ;D
