Temp. guage seems to take forever to reach the 2nd line.Themostat?Would this effect M.P.G.

Probably thermostat mate and yep low engine temperature = lower mpg

2.2 Thermostat Assembly....Part No. :  90501081 This is the VX Part Number for the complete assembly. 92deg C. thermostat can be purchased seperately and fitted in the existing housing if money is an issue but tbh, you are better off buying the whole gubbins :y
The Torque values for the thermostat housing to engine block are: 15Nm/11lbf ft. Hth :y

Just slight understatement, its 15 minute job unlike the crappy V6's which take half a friggin day to do!  ;D
