Good man.Looks a lot easier than the v6

Just slight understatement, its 15 minute job unlike the crappy V6's which take half a friggin day to do!  ;D

What about the stat itself? Buypartsby sufficient?
It seems to take a long time for the gauge to move on my (poxy) V6, so may need to go down this route myself.

I can only speak from my own experience on this question. I followed MarksDTM's advice that my problem was a faulty 'stat and he was correct :y, but I then compounded my problems by buying a cheap 'stat from a Factors and fitting it into the original housing only to have that part repeatedly stick open ....so back to square one! :-[  So in imo, only buy a genuine GM OE stat for your V6 as they are a bloody site more involved to change than a 4 pot & you only want to be doing that job once! ;D :y

Anyone got a Vx price for stat and housing?
Also BPB do a kit which includes the housing. Anyone any experience of these?
All hypothetical at this stage, but worth asking  :y

Followed this advice from Elite Pete last November.

"I've fitted quite a few of these in the past and never had a problem :y"

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vauxhall-OMEGA-VECTRA-etc-V6-THERMOSTAT-HOUSING-NEW-/370148171910?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item562e8ce086#ht_1417wt_948

Got one fitted it and so far all is good. It was the thinner housing so used a washer and couple of M8 nuts as spacers. :)

careful on the bolts as you remove as my friend sheared his so we had a blow torch on it with some mole grips for about 2hours trying to get the bolt out.

Looks the same as the 1.8zafira I did, 10min job

Just realised this started out as a 2.2 query.  :-[
