« on: 22 April 2012, 08:26:25 »

Hi all,has anyone ever experienced transmission noise through the gear stick (manual),there is a fair bit of play which wants sorting.
It sort of whines in fifth but if i put my hand on the stick it stops? I dont think its a worn box? (148k)_ :(

Hiya -sounds like a damaged gear teeth or clutch release bearing worn.
Either is a gear -box out job.
