Hi Lazydocker, didn't know about the guide, just seen it....and given the choice of retro fitting or buying  a mobile portable sat nav i'd be straight off to Currys,Comet or Argos!!! But to those who have done it and have a working sat nav afterwards a BIG well done!!crusty

The trouble with portable units is that they can be unreliable in built up areas, although they have improved dramatically.

I know that my first choice of nav system is always the built in one ;)
