Now there are some Pikey pullers who show some level of thought, they pull over if the queue gets too long behind them, that sort of thing, but christ there are some real fricking knob jockeys out there at this time of the year through to Sept.....

It would appear that the moment they attach the pikey wagon to the back of the car they have a frontal labotomy, what little is left of the brain they had is then kept in the cool box in the wagon, they then take to the roads driving like a tit.
BUT.....and this is the best bit....before loading up the trusty workhorse of a car with the family, clothes for every eventuality and the aformentioned wobbly box, the overall weight of the car has now nearly doubled and they have neglected to carry out some basic servicing so halfway to their destination the bloody car gives up the ghost in a cloud of steam/smoke or possibly even both, normally on a busy A road with half the population of that county sat behind them, many of whom are now boiling up themselves.

if i appear to be marginally frustrated by the sight of wobbly boxes on the road is because most of the time i am

sorry, i'll get back in me corner now

Tuff old world.....there here to stay.......and thats a fact.....there is more knob jockeys out there driving just cars...you will always find people pick on the minority when they need to blame something or someone.........the amount of traffic in the country...........pikey wagons dont even count for a minute portion of the traffic jams.....if any at all on motorways.................

I have been using a tourer for over 10 years now and had a lot of good times in it while the daughter was growing up.........i aint gonna get rid of it.....its staying.........if not just to p"ss you moaning ninnies off whilst on the road.........oh and instead of tooting and giving the finger and moaning about it to drivers pulling vans as you pass them...just pull over and it can be discussed, we can then show you our feelings. ;) ;) :y ;D ;D

Sorry .. I'll be travelling too fast to serve you ...   unless you are one of those breakless idiots that see a van coming... don't realise its doing 60 mph and just pull out... so causing nearly 4 tonne of metal to try and avoid your stupid 1.2 corsa !!  :)

(two sides to every story !! )

you missed my point Miggy......

It is the usual thing of the minority leaving a bad impression.

I'm not looking to apportion blame, just making a statement, in the same way you are.

On the route i travel and the time that i travel my experience is that the traffic is held up by caravans, not always, but as the summer approaches my journey time increases by about 50%

I did not miss the point, i could see you were refering to SOME c-van owners, and i think your travel time increasing could be something to do with the tourism that comes to your area during the summer months, which i am sure ploughs millions of pounds into the areas

I have seen about 5 or 6 inconsiderate and a few dangerous.

Seen snaking on up hills, snaking on the Somerset levels, neither speed related as I was behind one and passing the other. Seen back ends scraping the ground literally.

Conversly I have had people pull out in front of me too many times, dangerous overtakes.

Dangerous overtakes are worrying, I am going no slower than the cars in front with average sized gap and small shopping car struggles past and squeezes in - then holds you up.

I need a warning sign on the back - "Warning Powerful Towcar"

In fact my outfit has a better power to weight ratio than quite a few solo cars when laden.

I often get held up by poorly driven pikey tow trucks.....on single carriage ways of course!

There is only one thing worse than caravans.......bloody horse boxes!
