Ahhh bugger, new exhaust time

Drove past my parked car just......

Whats that haning out the exhaust?    Grey nylony stringy stuff

Guess thats the exhaust knackered then  >:(

How long to total failure from this point?

Not sure how long it will last, but I'd say it will start to restrict flow.

Is it just backbox that needs doing, or centres as well?

I suspect Mark will recommend you have the centre sections replaced too. Especially as he will end up doing it! ;)

Tbh I was thinking to do most of it, its done then.

Its not a hard job tbh, though a second pair of hands helps to support stuff I find.  Biggest issue is unbolting the centres from cat section - they can seize a bit.  Get replacement bolts for all of it, and check if you need new rubber hangers, as makes sense to replace missing or badly worn ones at same time.

Got hangers already...for some reason there was a set in one of the cubby holes when I bought it!
Read its not too bad a job

Hmmmmm.....think we might need some heat and some rust flash, from memory those bolts loked a little bit rusty!

I had to burn mine out and put nuts and bolts in. I ground them down and tried to drill them but just blunted a load of drills!
