imob transponder removal

hey all. I need some help, and cant seem to find the info im looking for anywhere!

i need to remove the imobilser transponder off a 2000 omega so its the facelift , is there a special way of taking it off or is it a wack it off!? as i dont want to damage it  :D

Any help will be appreciated :)

The actual transponder (in the key) or the Immobiliser ECU (around Ign)?

the unit that surrounds the barrel, sorry should have been more clear :)

Force it, but there`s a risk of it snapping, or remove the barrell

splendid! i did a search but coundt bring up stuff of much use!

But thanks a ton! ill play it safe and take the barrel out :)

Mine came off easily enough, but then I was removing it to replace. It shouldn't break, unless you get mad with it.  :y
