Bad brakes....
« on: 30 April 2012, 23:26:52 »

Hi...

Today, I had a very scary moment.... My brake pedal went rock hard and I had to stand on it to get the car to stop!
I actually thought I was going to hit the guy in front of me!!!  :o
This has happened on a few times but this is not right!
Just before my MOT a while ago, I changed all the discs and pads, and changed the fluid.

For the most part the brakes work but not great...

Any ideas???

i would start looking at the servo, then see if you can pump the line i.e bleed the systerm. if will not bleed systerm then servo gone.

Check main vac pipe to plenum plus the tee-offs for any leaks

Thanks guys, you might remember I had a broken "T" just near the non return valve, it didn't happen on the way home? very intermittent??? I'll check my fix plus any wares/rubs...
Actually, thinking about it, I do have a loud "air rush sound" but when I looked for it I couldn't find it... Must look harder, I don't want to end up in Tescos front door!!!  :y
