« on: 03 May 2012, 17:12:11 »

Hi Guys
Just a stupid question i expect but ... My nipper bought an X reg Fiesta with what he thought were 2 working keys.
Now turns out onky one actually starts the engine (it has a red mark on top of it) the other key although turning in ignition will not start the car.
Can anyone tell me whats to be done pls?

Sounds like the immobiliser chip (the Red chip) isn't for that car, the little red bit in the key should come out.

need to get 2nd key programed,if both keys were working and not cloned you can reprogram it your self, try timpsons or have a chat with a local ford dealer/mechanic,i know for the puma it was about £70 to program a new fob :y
