warning symbal

warning symbel on dash looks like a cog wheel with a exclamation sign in the middle, I know this is a problem with the auto box switch, but where is this switch located on the car regards (gisajob1)

if it is sports mode.press the button on top of gear lever marked S

Have a read of page 138 in the owners manual http://images.omegaowners.com/documents/UserGuides/OmegaOct2002.pdf

Sport mode is shown by a cog symbol with an 'S' inside it. Caught me out when I bought my present car.

No mate - his question was answered above  - you would have seen if you had read all the thread ;)

Would have thought that if you had a "light" on the first place to check would be the owners handbook - hence my comment - as his question is answered there ::) ::)

Agreed  I could not find it in the manual  either :-\ :-\ :-\

MANY THANKS ALSO TO ANDY B FOR HIS IMPUT, IF YOU GO THROUGH THE OWNERS HANDBOOK AS I DID NOWHERE DOES IT SHOW THE WARNING SYMBEL THAT I MENTIONED, BUT IAM GRATFUL FOR YOUR TIME AND EFFORT. MAYBE D BUG HAS A DIFFERENT BOOK TO EVERYONE ELSE (gisajob)

sounds most like the brake system light to me....

is the brake fluid topped right up?

if not, can you provide a photo of this light?

and can you confirm we are talkling about the lights under the rev counter / speedo area, not the display in the centre console that gives you the time etc?
