I cannot afford to depart with my Miggy......its in good nick, 12 yrs old....but if a repair bill came in for , say £500, that is still cheaper than getting another car

What could you get for £500 that would not require repairs at any time. Providing the Omega is serviced, and looked after properly and not thrashed out of existance, why should it not last a lifetime.

I had an 1985 Senator for fourteen years that only cost £500 in breakdown repairs in all that time...and that was due to to a pratt at hometune with a wrong diagnosis. Yes it had new tyres, and exhausts, but every car has to have that!!!
The car was sold on still in very good nick (begrudgingly, I might add, due to personal circumstances)
As some Omega's do have to be scrapped, so the list of spares increases.
How many VW Campers do you still see on the road....so why not Omega's

I appreciate that insurance is not cheap, mpg is not fantastic, and tax is not cheap...but come-on....look what you get back in strength, style and comfort

So, in a nutshell, if my Miggy is worth zilch on the market, to me it is worth thousands......
