 Hi All

My Air con has stopped working any help/advise will be welcome.

At first i thought it would need a re gas, but whilst removing the dreaded faulty power sounder today i thought i would do some checks.

The pollen filter is ok fairly recent and cleanish.
Done the a/c reset and checked all controls on panel, all seem ok.
But when i switch between eco and full auto not noticing any drop in revs.
Checked to see if i could determin wether the a/c pump clutch is working and i DONT think it is.

Q. Should the front outer part of the pump turn when clucth is engaged (mine is not turning at all  )

Could this be an easy electrical fix (a broken wire or a fuse) fingers crossed

I will add that i am hoping for something easy at the mo as still recovering from my knee operation and cannot kneel down or move to much

There's a low pressure switch in the a/c which needs gas in the system to switch it. Yes, the centre part of the compressor should spin when the a/c is on & not  spin when off or ECO selected. 

You can apply 12volts to the compressor manually to briefly test it, but I've never needed to so don't know how.

Thanks for the quick replies guys but no pics Rob G i am dissapointed ROFL

I will start with a re gas which i can get done for just a few beers.
Hopefully will be done tomorrow will update soon

If clutch is ok you will hear it engage with a loudish clonk - if alls quiet clutch is seized
