Zafira help
« on: 23 May 2012, 16:33:52 »

Out with SWMBO in her Zafira 03 plate, 1.8 Auto.

After shopping she started it back up and the spanner light and traction lights are staying on. The gearbox is in limp mode, although changes up if you use it manually.

Using my code reader, the only one I can see, if I've got it right, is U2106.

Any ideas please?

TIA :y

Not tried the pedal trick yet. Just about to go to work now, so used the reader I had, for the first time ::)

If I can, I'll try the pedal trick tonight and post the results.

I read that you depress the accelerator & brake at the same time, then turn the ignition on.... is that right?

Hi Mark,

We've not used the car because of the fault.  Just been out to it now and the car with the spanner light has now gone out, but the ESP light is still lit.

Just driven round the block and the gearbox is now working fine???

Just read up about the ESP and this can be turned on & off, so just gone out to see if I can turn it back on, but the light has now gone out too??

This is the first time this has happend and hopefully the last time!

Only guessing, but could this be caused by dirty connections/loose connection?

Thanks for your time Mark :y

Poorly seated fuse possibly, maybe a loose connector (there not known for electrical issues)

Thanks Mark. I'll have to look up her car as I don't know anything about the zafira. Cheers again!
