Exhaust rattling
« on: 23 May 2012, 19:32:01 »

On the way back from the TC meet in Northampton my exhaust started making one helluva racket.
It sounds like the internals of the O/S middle box came adrift and the noise was there all the time.  Now the noise is only really evident if I rev the car at standstill, although it's not so easy to hear when driving with the windows up so may be doing it more.

I looked on Ebay and eternalcar and no-one seems to have a single box and buying a whole new exhaust would be an arse as mine has a relatively new backbox already.

Any ideas where I can find a single mid section?

There was one on here just last month going for free but it got scrapped already - Typical!

Yes I thought so too, and I saw another member got a full system from them not long ago, but today I get no search results for 2.5 or 3.0 estate.

I ordered 2 centres for saloon on Sunday and they had plenty left. Must be temporarily out of stock for estate models. Unfortunately this is where eternal are lacking, they aren't able to tell you when they are likely to restock

Thankfully in this case I can afford to wait.
The car's performance doesnt seem to be suffering and it's not getting any worse..... yet.
