and most people know not too divulge info like that...especially not into a unsecure website...no offence.... :y

Someone recently got hold of my credit card details and booked a couple of ferry crossings and the transactions went through.  :(  When they tried to buy £2500 worth of flights with Air France the Credit Card company gave me a ring and cancelled the card immeadiatly!  They refunded the money for the ferry tickets and got a new card to me pretty quickly!  :y

Nice one.... :y :y I put in dummy info and got the warning, just nosey really.... :D :D :D normally I would never give my details unless I was more that sure the request was genuine, and then I would have to log in to my account.... :y

It always makes me laugh when I speak to customers complaining that we have stopped a genuine transaction. I think I would prefer the occasional genuine transaction stopped and the fraudulent ones stopped as well then let them go through.
The last few days I have been speaking to customers who are getting scammed by these "I am calling from Microsoft" one guy had them call back as they had taken a payment on his credit card and wanted to take another payment on his debit card. It was lucky he hadn't activated his card!

I had two erroneous debits for £14.99 in March. The bank have credited them.

Same day they credited them I had a credit for £1050 and a correction for minus £1050 same day. Confidence is at a low as I have also had a letter saying my nearest cash machine and bank in Four Oaks is closing. Never (knowingly) been to Four Oaks!! I am waiting for their explanation.

These smaller amounts are the one's to watch out for. The 'testing the water' withdrawal, leading up to the big one. My son's card was blocked due to cloning. The Bank blocked an application to top up a mobile phone as their system flagged up that he had a direct debit for contract phone. That's what the letter said anyway. No payment was taken. He was quite impressed with that.  :y  It did however, cause him some grief as he was on holiday in Norway at the time.  ::)
