Company loyalty, don't think there is such a thing these days.  :'( That's horrible to hear, hope things brighten up for you soon.

As Marie said - mileage, condition, MOT, tax, air con, tc, gadgets etc?

Good ... folks like that deserve everything they get.

There are better ways to do things. Mate of mine was diagnosed MS 8 years ago, he is now very much wheelchair bound, and has little movement in one arm. What he does in his electric go-kart and the one working arm is amazing !!

Anyhow, the work the company did was amazing, ramp to a widened external door, new disabled toilet downstairs, widened internal doors into the 3 rooms he requires access to, and because the canteen is inaccessible by wheelchair, he has his own coffee machine installed in his office.

So it can be done.....

fight 'em I say  :)

the story is,i had a bike accident in 76 which among other things did a lot of damage to my right knee and lower leg.i have a dropped foot which is permanent, and now my knee is almost worn out (as well as cruciate ligament being knackered )but the docs would like me to stay of my feet as much as poss.to postpone as long as poss.a knee replacement.my job is quite physical (making prestressed concrete floors)and my doctor asked the employer a year ago to transfer me to a less physical job.they promised me a different job but then cancelled because work was getting a bit slow, and when i got home from work today a letter had been delivered telling me that as i am incapaple of doing my job and they dont have another job for me they are contemplating dismissing me,and i am invited to a capability hearing on thurs. to discuss the matter.they didnt have the balls to give me the letter at work or look me in the eye and tell me to my face, they had to send it in the post, and as im sure you can imagine after 20 years of service that stings a bit. >:(  i am not going in tomorrow i am starting to look into the legal side of things.
