rocker gasket 2.0 16v

just did gasket leaking oil in to spark plugs 4 quid of ebay
  want to clean crank beather pipe but how the hell do you get it off
  with out taking off the exhaust anyone got any ideas pics would help.

get on top of engine and feel down the pipe should feel the bolt, think its a 10mil, change the rubber Oring when putting back together. (Make sure engine cold!!!)

Couple of points, clean breathers & fresh oil helps prevents pressure build up.

Cam cover gaskets need to be fitted correctly to work, you must use a torque wrench on the cover as its only 8Nm, which is nothing. Correct sealant must be used as per guides as well.

Pattern eBay parts are a lottery, most fail much quicker than pattern. Its been proven over the last 7 years of this forum, so you want to do everything you can to try and make that gasket last!

that link only shows you how to clean tottle body
 its the crank beather pipe am after
  as for ebay parts never had any bad ones as for vauxhall had loads of bad ones. :y

cheers for pics but mine gos in to a box then down cant get in because of exhaust.
 mines a xreg if thats any help .the pics you send look like the old cavs had on and the astras
 having had these in the past '

he wants it off to drag cloth through it to clean, but that pic is a 2.2

just clipped on, just undo the clips with som pliers and pop off to the right, clean out with some paraffen and wash out with some warm or hot water and leave to dry.

Just to clarify,i didn't change the box,just cleaned it out.I did however have to change the hoses which were in a bad way.
I was unable to get the correct size hose so had to reluctantly buy a vx bend and cut it to fit.this cost me £10 for a £2 job

should of got to motorfactors £3 for new one.
