Central locking sometimes works sometimes does not

It is not the keys in anyway

Single door lock or all?

Started with basics like battery in the key?

When it does work it all works as it should

it is nothing to do with the key

spare key is new and coded to the car

it is not the batterys

The spare key does not get used i am just using this to rule out the old key i have just put a new battery in it

I think the problem lies in the central locking control unit but can not get to find out where it is

I had a vauxhall movano pick up with the same problem it was the control unit

Central Locking unit is bullet proof on the Omega, can't say I've ever heard of one failing.

Its more likely one of the locking motors has failed/shorting, does the fuel filler flap lock with rest of the car?

So what you are saying Tunnie that if one of the locking motors is goosed it knocks the rest out

are the motors wired in line or seperate?

Do the doors lock then unlock straight away? Mine's doing this and it's a duff locking motor in the drivers door.

Car hasn't been locked in over 2 months  ::)
