Strange CCRT700 issue ................
« on: 08 June 2012, 12:24:48 »

Ok, it's not a fault as such. However, having spent a lot of time in the car during the last few weeks I have noticed something.

With the radio switched off, on occasion the RDS logo on the info display comes on for a split second and then goes off again.

Any ideas?

That unit is prone to 'weirdness'.

Removing the unit overnight cures many problems *IF* you know the codes.

I was wondering if it was some RDS update of the clock - which would signify that the radio was actually partly powered up even when "off".

Doubt the former, but the radio is partially powered when off.

Something to do with looking for the "ON-STAR" functionality maybe?
