omega front springs

i think the front spring on my elite has snapped and was wondering how hard it is and whats involved, im thinking of changing the complete strut rather than just the spring

Two bolts that hold hud on that you will clearly see when wheel off and undo nut on top in engine bay, easy job.

And the drop link to disconnect. Start with that first, as it might be seized.

Always replace suspension parts in axle pairs btw. Lopsided and uneven performance will result otherwise.

Then set up after, attempt to measure camber first to replicate after. See guide.

:y, i cant be arsed with all that, looks like it will be going to the garage, i may change the strut and get a tyre place to sort the rest

:y, i cant be arsed with all that, looks like it will be going to the garage, i may change the strut and get a tyre place to sort the rest
tyre place no good, they'll shaft you over, and you'll still get bad handling and shoulder wear, see Wheels in motion web site. Although the guide is quite easy, and will be more use than "a tyre place" of the usuall tracking fixes all caliber. The omega needs full geometric set up, for camber, caster and toe. ...just for info. :)

Easy job, took me less than an hour at the weekend to remove both front shocks off my V6
drop links are probably the trickiest bit, thay can get a bit thread rusty
