As the title, what's the easiest way of turning traction off???

I don't have the button on the centre console and I don't want to pull the fuse as I still want ABS and a speedo
I just cant understand why the button isn't there :S

I assume we're talking about the Omega in your profile, a 3.0? Is it a facelift model?

The button must've been taken out for some reason? Can't you push the button where it would be and see if it works? In a facelift it's on the right hand side, 3rd button down on the centre console. If not purchase a button from here, I'm sure someone must have one here.

Perhaps a fleet manager in the past removed the button to prevent sales reps smoking the rear tyres. TC does stand for "tyre cost" doesn't it?

Its the same on mine , i have no tc button . Something to do with the year/model change , they seem to have skimped on wiring the tc button in so i was told . Tc works fine on mine though when pushing it in the wet

1998 3.0l elites, and plod cars lack the button. Easily retrofitted, as wire tucked up behind, just needs connecting, and switch fitted

I didnt see a wire when i took my facia panel out this week but then again i wasnt really looking for it , too busy swearing at it getting my hand stuck pulling the release bar

Yeah it's a 97/98 3.0. I've tried pushing it and it's just a solid blanking plate. I don't suppose you can just take that out and fetch the wire behind it. Probably a whole dash fascia out

Yeah what I meant by that was if you just take the blacking out and the wire is there. had a quick look this morning and I didn't realise the pins went straight into connections that were placed on the back of the fascia. How tricky is it to get the wood effect fascia off??

It was due to Carin Sat Nav screen & where that was situated at the time

Is there a good reason why you need to turn it off? If mine has been used for more than a few seconds in the 18 months/12,000 miles I've had the car I'd be surprised. And both of those occasions were on really wet concrete, and were easily and more efficiently sorted by a slight lift of the throttle.

It's like LSD's on road cars; if you have enough power it's fun to exit side turnings and roundabout sideways until you  have to change up for second gear, but it's not much use for anything else. Let's not confuse road LSD's with race ones either; race ones lock up much more and quicker than a road one.
