Air raid / nuclear shelter thing .

Do i need planning permission to dig a big hole at the bottom of the garden for an underground shelter  :-\

depends how deep??...a nuclear shelter need to be at least  100 ft underground...that is serious digging....how big is your garden as if i was yourneighbour and my house fell into your hole (so to speak) i would'nt be impressed to say the least lol.... :y

depends how deep??...a nuclear shelter need to be at least  100 ft underground...that is serious digging....how big is your garden as if i was yourneighbour and my house fell into your hole (so to speak) i would'nt be impressed to say the least lol.... :y

1OO ft  :o dam hadnt planned on that deep . Same thing as building an inspection pit then as you need to consider many things .

Btw there's no immediate air threat that i know of  ;D :y

An old aquantance of mine used to sell plastic nuclear shelters, made quite a bit of money out of it apparently, I said to him that they wouldnt work if put to the test, his reply was " well there won't be anyone left to complain"  ;D ;D

before digging i would certainly get a surveyor in as you dont know whats down there....services etc

Are you on the USA drone target list? It is on Google. The Yanks have more trained drone pilots than trained real plane pilots! Gulp. :o

And newspaper stuck to the windows as well  ;D. People must have been a bit more gullable in the 50's i think  ::)

You wouldn't be able to surface for at least 50 years after a nuclear strike, and the surrounding area would still be f**ked for a good 50 years after that......would you really want to be alive for the aftermath?

Assuming the car would still be present afterwards, and also assuming the resultant EMF didn't kill the electronics, where do you plan on getting fuel & oil from?  ;)
