2.5td running temp?
« on: 19 June 2012, 16:22:30 »

Well after owing the tractor for half a year still have no idea what is its running temp
I know from the forum that pre and minifacelift show greater temp than facelift.
Since it is quite hot here the car is now running at around 95 degrees which ocasionaly gets to 97-98 on long uphills without aircon since it is out of gas so I aint using it currently.
Never reached a 100 but it does scare me a little.
Waterpump was changed 7 months ago (coolant also I believe)
Is this normal??

I am not concerned if it stays below 100, although usually it'e below 90, - but you are relying on a gauge that may well be way out. I had mine tested once, and it recorded as being two degrees high, no problem, but nice to know.

Should normally run at around the mid-point on the gauge.

Ours normally runs thus, though with the caravan in tow, it'll climb slightly higher to the 97 mark when climbing hills on a hot day. It has a genuine Vx thermostat/red antifreeze at 50% strength, new metal-impellored water pump, and the viscous fan is fitted.

A 'live' Tech2 chat (courtesy of Mr Hotel 21), showed everything is performing as it should. :y
