cutting out on cd changer?
« on: 23 June 2012, 08:22:59 »

Hi All,

Some reason when I flick to cd changer on my ccr600/blaupunkt cd changer and crank the volume up it cuts out? Momentarily then I turn it down and it works OK.

This is different to the radio as I can literally turn it up full blast with no issues?

Any bright ideas?

I thought it might be a dieing speaker but as its OK on the radio im not so sure?

Cheers
Rob

Does it cut out with a pop or a crack?

If so, I would also suspect a speaker - I can understand your reasoning for thinking it is not as the radio is ok, but the CD tends to be a purer and higher level signal and can indeed cause this problem.

I would disconnect each speaker in turn and see if you can still get it to cut out with the CD, so that you can rule them out.
