And it is a mindset such as this that will forever cause a uk/British team to be forever 'English' in the eye of both the (english) masses and the commentators.

And why there is wonderment in the (enger)land at those in Wales, Ireland and Scotland who want independence from englandshire...... ;D

Germany won't win, its either Spain or Portugal. As much as I don't like Ronaldo, he is on fire at the moment.

I'd love independence. And there's no wonderment. I believe the other home nations need England more than we need them.

Only Germans  ;)

Over the past 100 years they have managed to systematically pish off nearly every nation with a couple of pointless wars which they lost, they started WW3 (the Euro) loosing that too.

One particular religious faith won't have many fans either :-X

I remember an interesting chat I had with an elderly couple once, the wife was proud to tell me that they were going to Germany that year on holiday. It was the first time for her, but said that her husband had already been there before. At which point the husband interrupted and said, "Yes, last time I was there, I was shooting the b@stards"
