big thanks to essex andy for loaning me his cambelt locking/ setting kit and big spanner.top bloke,even gave me a contact for my job hunting when i took his tools back tonight as i hadnt done a v6 belt before i had my portable dvd player in the car so i could watch a bit then do a bit of work,then watch a bit more etc;it went pretty smooth thanks to the dvd,it is excellent.best £3.50 i ever spent.

Excellent. Last time (At Shifnell) DVD watching was combined with a cam belt change the result was a flat battery, IIRC.

i did think about that but i thought it would be better than making a mistake on the cambelt job,but the battery didnt flatten so all was well
