Spam?  or is this sort of post of any use to anyone? ...other than to catch out the unwary that don't know about GM oil. Much less GM oil on Tc...?

Shemelessly over priced it seems to me.  ???

Over priced compared to what, though? GM TradeClub oil, or general oil? If you can find the specialist stuff cheaper, I'm all ears ;)

Posts in the recommended suppliers list in parts for sale section don't seem to be very positive :-\

Is GM oil not specialist for omega owners? :)

Another member pointed out they are handy for dex3 Titan 4000. Which is sort of true as it's impossible to find locally. However I found on a Web based search that they where not cheapest there either.

I have also found them to not reply to emails and not return calls after an enquiry.

Really? Hm - I've had totally the opposite experience with them.. and probably spent hundreds with them over the years.

Perhaps they could just post in the sticky at the top instead of new threads for each offer, although it doesn't really bother me that much :-\

Like most on here, probably, I've only bought ATF from them but it arrived quickly with no problems. Never had the need to contact them, so can't comment about that.

Granted, they are not at all competitive for engine oil for an Omega against the deals available from Vauxhall dealers with a trade card, but they are a good source of Titan 4000 and it sounds like there are members who are benefiting from the deals offered to OOF members for products for other applications.

At the end of the day, if the offers aren't of interest to you personally, you're not forced to take them up. ;)

If anyone does have bad experiences with any suppliers associated with OOF then a PM to the admin team would be appreciated so that we can build a picture of how it's working.

I agree, for engine oil, GM is hard to beat price wise, if you have TC. Some may, for whatever reason, want something more specific.

I do tend to use Opie for ATF, picking and choosing when they have offers on it/postage.

My main concern is for newer members. The advertising appears a bit sensationalised, quoting an amount of saving, but not actually making the price immediatey obvious. Newer members not quite aware of the actual savings to be had from GM, and on TC, might feel that the prices for omega oils are better at Opie. Which is not the case.

Experienced members, such as those posting on this thread will obviously be aware what to buy, and where to buy according to their needs.

If Opie where to be a recomended supplier for oil, I would expect a ref to GM and tc to be at the top of the list firstly... for example.

For omega owners, they are not a recomended supplier for oil. GM oil on tc are obviously.

Dex 3 however. Fair enough, even if it's worth paying a few quid extra to save time looking for cheaper suppliers. Hardly a regular buy anyway. Which concerns me that opies presence as advertising on posts at will, which no other supplier is aloud to do afaict, might give the impression they are more cost effective than the are and more recomended than they are.

They do not list pas fluid. The engine oils are massively expensive compared to GM/TC. Titan 4000 being the only relevance. Yet they are allowed to advertise freely, where andyc was not. (although Andys situation has now been rectified as we know)

In short, the posted adverts appear misleading and generally over sensationalised, given the minimal relevant products to the omega. A secondary mention in recomended however, would seem more appropriate perhaps...? Maybe? :-\
