A dentist friend of mine once told me that there are patients that hate injections and the numb feeling in their mouths so much that they insist on having work done without anaesthetic

Unless it's root canal treatment, I NEVER have injections for fillings. Can't be bothered to dribble and talk like a half-wit for hours on end for the sake of avoiding a nano second of sharp pain.

I've had fillings done without anaesthetic.  I had a bad experience many years ago when the dentist used so much anaesthetic that it seriously slowed down my heart beat.  After that, I was very nervous about using so I had fillings done years later without it.  It's not too bad. The pain only lasts a few seconds and then you don't have the soreness from the injections or the numb mouth to deal with later.

(Bloody hurts though!)

i have an excemption certificate so pay nothing. i can't have injections in the mouth cause its too hard to smoke a fag after and i can't bear the needle in the mouth.
