I thought the game was good entertainment. I agree with some of the comments regarding Federer 'letting' Andy Murray win the first set, although you have to bear in mind that he has beaten the swiss king before in a major tourney. Maybe, just maybe, he had 'the stuff' to take it to the wire but after the rain break, with the roof closed, Feds came on strong.
It's well known that his indoor game (as that is what it became) is sooooo much better.
The interview at the end will have changed a lot of peoples opinion of the 'dour Scot' He came across as a man humbled by the support, the mainly English support!
As for being anti English, I don't think he actually is, didn't this all stem from an interview with Henman and some radio DJ banter about the english football team a couple of years back when he said something along the lines of he would support any team that is playing against England or something like that.
At 25 he has done well to get into the final of that grand slam, I would like to see him capitalise on that 'success' and go on and win a few more to get his rating and confidence up and then next year, go for it.
I don't personally know the guy, but I do object to the haters that think they do, I mean c'mon, hating a TV persona is pretty petty isn't it?
