tank locking motor
« on: 10 July 2012, 15:55:46 »

Can someone tell me how long the tank locking motor should last? I replaced mine 2yrs ago and it's, packed in, I've checked the wiring etc central locking works ok. I bought it new from vx, I think it should last longer than 2yrs Tia.

Never heard of one failing before. :-\....Might have a couple lying around somewhere, unless they got chucked in the boot of the respective cars before going to the scrappy. Not an item you expect to be able to sell on.

Mine failed on my drowned silver 3.0 Omega. Had to unbolt and disconnect from inside boot to open flap to get petrol. Bought one from fleabay £10.

Seen a few fail now, but generally reliable enough to fit a 2nd hand replacement :)
