Corbeau Seats (Equipe)
« on: 11 July 2012, 21:05:57 »

My friend Colin Folwell.
Colin started Corbeau Equipe in I think 1963-64.
I first met Colin when I lived in East Sussex in circa 1975. (when I had the MBG GT)
He had at that time a black 3 litre Capri. which went like stink and he drove it like he had just stolen it, and I used to go with him on many occasions.
As any fans of 'Top Gear' has observed in the last couple of years, Corbeau seat belts and seats have been used in the 'ordinary priced car' circuit featuring the current "celebs" driving it.
Anyway the point of this topic is that Colin has now retired from the business and I hope himself and his wife Nessie have a wonderful retirement.
Happy memories you would not believe. :y

Always fancied a set of Corbeau seats - never could fit my arse into most of them, mind.. but I'd have been more inclined to try had I known it was, essentially, a family concern.

Well earned retirement anyway, running it since '63!

Great seats. I had a pair in the front of a Mk4 C+*#*na, yes I know (the shame) however it was the V6 kent engine, made for interesting driving, all that power (to me, then)and no road holding so to speak, the seats certainly gave me a lot of feedback in those days!!

Had a pair in a old mini that me and a couple of lads had out on Germany.

Can't remember which model but they gripped my arse like a vice  :D
