Back from Dorset...
« on: 12 July 2012, 20:44:03 »

3 nights early.....unfortunatley the 'rac' tent decided heavy rain all day and gusts of upto 35mph it couldnt cope with.....altho i tried to protect it with the bus and windshield......it let go at about 4pm this afternoon......2 snapped poles and then ripped itself appart......its now residing in a giant rubbish bin on the site  :( ..... i wasnt the only casualty .... there where 4 other tents on site and all those got ripped apart as well  :(

New tent time  ::)

You must have been in an unlucky site, mate......I am at Wareham, quite a few tents on site, no gusty winds, although it has lashed it down today. No one seems to have suffered :)

Its on the cliffs.....with views of the sea one way and of westbay/bridport the other way.....its gonna catch the wind if there is one.....

The wind it could of coped with.....it was the weight of the rain combined with the wind that did it....
