I have just upgraded from the 2.5 Reflection to the 2.6 Elite and am struggling with the anti dazzle mirror.  It seems very dark in daylight, so dark I can't really see my face in it.  Is this normal? 

The other odd thing I'm finding odd is getting used to the boot.  I keep trying to open it without the remote, is there any way to do this without the remote or dash button?  Also it only pops up an inch or two but I assume that is normal. 

Apart from that I am loving the Elite but while I'm at it, the climate control system - does anyone use the 'auto' button?  I can't quite see the point of it.

boot popping up with remote or button is correct...at least that is how mine is   ...if you drop the passenger back seat down and reach into the boot the boot release handle is up the top in the boot lining...

that is correct,and does only pop 1-2"

Mirror should be completely clear during the day .... and only darken at night.

Boot is working correctly .. thats the way it works .. remote or button .. no other options except the emergency release via the back seats ....

Climate control ...  Off/ECO/Auto are the only options ... OFF it doesn't work at all, ECO it works but the air con pump does not run, so it might not be able to give you the required temp, AUTO is where it should be, and always is on mine ... cabin is then controlled according to the dialled up temperature and the air is dried as well .. thats why its called Climate Control ...  Auto all the time

Do you have an air freshener or something else hanging from the mirror? This can cause an issue in daylight. There is a sensor on the front and back of the mirror that compares light levels. So, if it detects more light from the back than from the front, it dims.

Just a question....if i leave it on auto all the time does it use more fuel as i have heard people say it does...i just havent a clue..

It's a Omega ........... they're already thirsty, so NO - it wont use appreciably more fuel.    (assuming there's gas in the system & it works  )

Yes it will use more fuel, as the engine is now driving the compressor, so has to do more work.

How much more fuel   about a thimble full a day ..... you will use 10 times more fuel than the compressor uses in a single "spirited" departure from a set of lights. There is no way you would notice the fuel consumption as an increase in running cost.

ha ha i like the get away fast bit..i tend to do that...so from now on no fast offs and climate control on all the time....seriously i did not know that at all,so thanks for the info matey.

The A/C pump only increases fuel consumption by a tiny amount. In fact, over about 25mph the increased wind resistance from an open window will use more fuel

On a small engine it's more noticeable, but not on a big engined car

thanks for all the replies.  Having to use the key or dashboard is a pain when you are used to just lifting the handle but I'll get used to it. It woudl have been nice if it lifted the boot all the way.

On climate control as I understand it the auto button doesn't seem related the air con.   ac  just comes on if needed unles I press eco which switches it off, or I switch off the entire climate control.  For me the auto button seems to override the 'feet, face or screen buttons', and seems to speed up the fan. I prefer low fan and feet and face setting.  If I want it on the screen I press the demist button.

The mirror is definitely significantly  darker tnan my V6 Reflection standard mirror, and than any other mirror I have seen, maybe it is faulty.  I'll try blocking the light sensor.

The mirror is prob. faulty - i have the same thing and have covered the sensor on the mirror with some tape and it is ok now.

try not to lock your keys in the boot (that could cause a problem especially when car is locked)  Unless you have a spare set of keys that is
