Root Canal Treatment.
« on: 16 July 2012, 14:58:04 »

Does anyone have experience of root canal treatment.......good or bad?

I'm currently having some work done, but it's not going well. :-\

In the hands of a good dentist, it's fine.  But expensive...

Never found it a problem to be honest, the thought is worse than the treatment. :y :y
Once anaesthetised you may feel a dull thump but that's all :y

I'm not remotely squeamish and I have no fear of needles. My dentist tells me that I probably have "hidden" canals that she can't find. She suggests a dental bridge instead.

This will cost over two hundred notes even with my NHS dentist.

Root canal work comes under band "B".......so a max of £48. I also get to keep my tooth.

Once you've had the numbing stuff put in just relax, it's not a problem, honest, but suppose it depends if your dentist is a dentist or a butcher..... :-[

My dentist is blonde, petite, and aged about thirty. She also speaks with a cultivated european accent. She is gorgeous. :-* :-* :-*

I would have thought so. I had one done years ago and she took X-Rays at various stages to see how far she needed to drill.
