Doesn't she work of an X-Ray

I would have thought so. I had one done years ago and she took X-Rays at various stages to see how far she needed to drill.

thats how they done mine too

She did take a series of X-rays to begin with, but I'm told that these only highlight the larger canals, and not the much smaller tributary canals.

Do not have a maryland bridge as an alternative.

I used to think my dentist in Britain was good till I needed one in Spain. No NHS cheapos here just middle of the road pricing (i.e. more than NHS but less than Private UK. Well equipped dental rooms with colour gob cameras that show you before after and during if required .  No receptionist. That is done by the dental assistant or other waiters to keep the price down.

We had a visitor recently who had their maryland bridge fall out (again) and my dentist saw her and put it back in but said he doesn't do them because they are rubbish.

I had root canal work about three years ago.Dont remember it being particularily painful or troublesome.

never had it done good luck with it though , but had teeth out inc wisdom which every one said would be painful but it weren't.

my dentist is a 10st weakling who couldn't pull a door open let alone my tooth out took him an hour to do my wisdom. told him to get to the gym next time

but yes he does have a stunning assistant( looks like roxanne pallet ) with a cracking arse I don't have to open my gob when the dentist says its already open

Never found it a problem to be honest, the thought is worse than the treatment.
Once anaesthetised you may feel a dull thump but that's all

I'm not remotely squeamish and I have no fear of needles. My dentist tells me that I probably have "hidden" canals that she can't find. She suggests a dental bridge instead.

This will cost over two hundred notes even with my NHS dentist.

Root canal work comes under band "B".......so a max of £48. I also get to keep my tooth.

Yeah, I think the root canal was about £30 when I had mine done (around 1995).  But it was £160 for the cap that replaced the tooth that was drilled away to get to the root.
