Code Help.
« on: 17 July 2012, 08:48:54 »

Hi Guys and Gals,

Got some sort of Glow Plug issue with my DTi at the minute had a Snap-On Code read last night, and came back with

P1635 Glow Plug Relay..

Now is this the relay itself or just the Glow Plugs

I did a quick 'net search on the code... someone pointed out that they checked the sparkplugs and one was badly fouled.  He changed all 4 and the problem/code went.

Maybe check the plugs first?  Just a though Sam  ???

I had a fault with my diseasal Astra about glowplugs/relay (can't now remember the code) but if your glow plugs are easily got at, try a resistance check on them all. Look for one that's substantially different from the others.  :y

Looking at the guide...

...the glow plugs look like very easy job to check/change.
