The other halfs BMW was due to be valeted this morning at 8.30 at home by a local mobile valeter.
Hadn't turned up at 9 am, so being the nice chap I am I thought give him another 10 mins. Still no show.
So I rang him... Sounded like I woke him up. He says oh, oh, erm, my vans in the garage, won't get it back til Saturday.
Bloody annoying as when I booked it a few days ago he said he would ring or text if he was going to be late but not to worry as he would def be there at 8.30 Thursday morning.
No text, no call, nothing. If he isn't here bang on the dot Saturday il arrange someone else to do it and begin my smear campaign!!

I would do the same as he has to you. Get someone else to valet the car and when the original person turns up Saturday morning say, oh sorry mate I forgot to tell you, i've had it done

I'll give him the benefit of the doubt pete, know him through a friend of a friend. But if he doesn't turn up Saturday I won't be happy and anyone willing to listen will hear about it.

Further to the above post- I rang him at 4pm yesterday, he assured me that he would 100% be there this morning (sat) before 10 am.
I said to him can you please ring or text as soon as possible if you can't make it by that time. No problem he says, but don't worry I'll be there.

Has he turned up ? Has he break!! did he ring or text ? Did he break 

So I'm half way through doing it myself and absolutely will not be ringing him again, and neither will any of my family or friends.

This is a guy in his late 20s with a young kid and wife to support, you would think he would be glad of the work. Even if he rang with some crap excuse as to why he didn't turn up, I'd still be be pissed off, but at least it wouldve shown he gives a rats, but when he can't even be arsed to text or ring, well that just boils my blood!!

Sounds like he needs a kick up the butt for being so unreliable, ignorant and rude. 

I know plenty of self-employed who are willing and would be there on the dot for any extra work in their trade, where they can't get enough work at the moment due to the recession.
