Not personally but my ex boss used to have around 2 dozen, would race them frequently. He was always hyper the day or two before the race, and many a time I was with him as he watched the skies  on race days looking for his birds, like a kid at Christmas he was!!  . Some really big prize money in this game apparently.

My Grandad used to have Racing Pigeons  :y won loads of races  Nants was a pretty big race  :y
We ( my um used to take them for a "Chuck" whenever we were going a fair distanv=ce away) and they alwatys beat us back....

How do they know which way is home always does me  :o
