Some proper Irish music for you Daz. Should keep you out of mischief for an hour and a half. ;D ;D
You might even spot me if you look closely.First gig I went to at 14 and wondred why there were all these cameras etc. ::)
Rory Gallagher - he was a lovely bloke and an absolute legend to real lovers of good guitar music. Sadly went well before his time. :'(

I quiet like that too Albz. Its funny really but these Music Threads have introduced me to music I know I would never have listened to before. Blues was never something I would listen too, but you posted Gary Moore who I love now. Also this that I am now posting the link too, which seems to really strike a cord in me for some reason, which I really aren't sure why. Maybe because someone so talented in such turmoil expressing it in the music??

I must thank you for these tunes I now really love  :y :-*

Lemmy is a 'national treasure', but Metallica still gets the nod from me.

Glad to assist in your education Daz. ;D
Peter Green had a special "touch" when playing the guitar. He didnt play fast & frenzied, but played just the right notes for the feel of the song. :y
Rory was the best live performer Ive ever seen in my life.He was a shy unassuming bloke, but when he walked onstage it was as though someone plugged him into the mains,he just came alive as though it was what he was put on earth to do.He wasnt interested in being a big star.He just loved music for its own sake, and there was never an effects pedal in sight.Just the guitar plugged straight into the amp.I lost count of the number of times I saw him live and never tired of watching him.
That old battered Stratocaster is arguably the most famous guitar in the world now, along with Claptons Blackie Stratocaster and the Peter Green/Gary Moore Les Paul.Sadly it now sits in a bank vault. :'(
