Can't drive the old girl up the ramps.........as is common with the Omega.

Where is the best place to position the trolley jack so that I can place the front wheels on the ramps?

I've taken a quick look underneath, but nothing on the underside of the car looks capable of supporting the weight.

Any ideas chaps?

couple of ways of doing it,
1, jack up oneside on jacking point or where the 2 chasis members meet just under the front of the car behind the front wheel, jack needs to be high lift to get the ramps under the wheel though!
2, front crossmember again jack needs to lift high enough to allow for suspension drop to get wheels on ramps,
3 JACK CAR UP AS FAR AS YOU CAN PUT RAMPS UNDER WHEELS AS FAR AS THEY WILL GO IN, ensure in park with hand brake on let jack down very gently till car on ramps then drive it the rest of the way on!!
alternatively 2 lumps of 2 by 4 about 2feet long place on lower half of  ramps and simply drive it up

If your jack isn't up to the job, and most of the cheap/small ones are not, then you need ramps on the ramps. Do to speak.

If jacking, lift one side, place on stand, lift the other side as high as pos. place ramp under, ditto other side.

Fornt jacking point, look inboard directly behind the arch shaped cover in the side skirt. There is a reinforced section there.

I had a similar problem, so I bought a pair of car ramp extensions from fleebay for £15
They just hook onto your existing ramps.

i bought an awesome set of ramps that robg provided me with a link for, ramps including extensions (defo needed) for £30 iirc
