Supercharging x30xe
« on: 29 July 2012, 13:31:03 »

I'm thinking of supercharging my omega, and i'm wondering if anybody here has already done it?
I just want to know if you met any problems or anything.

Fragile bottom end. Won't take much more than 260bhp going by legends here. :-\

its better you change the engine completely or the car itself if you are after racing performance..

Tbh, if you really want that sort of power in an omega, your better off replacing the v6 with a 2.0 let out of a astra  :)

Much more reliable tuning potental  ;)

There will not be an engine change or a car change, either there will be a supercharger fitted or i will just do some light tuning to the engine.
And i'm aware that it's costly.

First off I would just try low pressure on an original engine, like 0,3 bar or something.
While i'm building another engine on the side.

But will it be durable on this engine?
The people that is making a new kit for this engine and car says that an original engine will take up to 0,6 bar

And please keep turbos and other engines in another thread, thanks.

That would have been a great place to have it, if you don't want air condition :P
