Long Life are excellent. Had mine fitted (Monaro) for nearly a year now without any problems :y :y

Where abouts are you?

Keith & Jamie that fitted mine are at Stambridge, Essex. 01702 258286/07841 777872
They're a father & son team & their work's very good.

Try [/i]Only Exhaust[/i] on Ebay.

I paid less than a hundred for my system (3.0 Estate) and the quality is very good.

A few others on here have ordered from them too and have so far been satisfied.

Did you manage to get pictures? Recall you saying the centre sections were double walled?

As Eternal do appear a bit crap for Omega exhausts now, not listing anything for 3.0  :(

As far as I can make out, they have agreed to replicate the layout like for like. "No cat flange cutting off" has been promised. They had another non Vx car in at the same time and the quality of work seemed very good tbh.

The quote is the Carshalton branch, seems to have good reviews. The one in Forest hill did not inspire confidence when I spoke to them.

Oh did not realise Gastech/Keith did longlife exhausts. May give them a call to get a quote as well.

Edit:
What it sounds like I do not know, thats my only unknown.

Give Keith a ring (tell him I recommended him) & have a chat. He'll talk you through what options you have. You can choose what noise level you deem as ecceptable.

I'm with chrisgixer on this - every Stainless I've seen, and I have the pleasure to see many Omegas (and other cars), have been what can only be described as 'corners cut' (or bodged to use gixer's word), and are also tediously noisy. Even those where the owner reckons they are quiet.

Obviously some like the noise - thats personal choice!

Be aware, some of these longlife ones aren't designed properly, just welded up and bolted/bodged on.  The one Amigo had on his old MV6 was a real power zapper. But for Amigo, the noise was more important than performance - again, personal choice.

The reason I use Eternal is they are a 'known' - they fit well, they are as quiet as the original GM ones (and certainly quieter than the new GM ones), and do not impact performance (which to me is important). And they are dirt cheap!

I put my money where my mouth is - I have another Eternal sat on my garage floor (still! ::)) to go on TBE. The Silver Bullet had an Eternal fitted some time back (Tunnie - was it 2.5 or 3.5yrs back - I remember it was between Christmas and New Year, and bloody cold ;D)

Not really allowed to lift too much until I've had a scan, but can offer a 2nd set of hands for holding stuff :)

Orders, they need a scan to ascertain if its more serious than first thought. Certainly, there is nerve damage around the spine, which is scary enough to make me obey.

On GM and Eternal, purely cosmetic.

The cheapest I could find is the Longlife franchise at Carshalton. They have quoted me £399. Everyone else seems to want £500+ to keep to the original twin layout. I am all for getting the Eternal exhaust, but its trying to get them to pick up the friggin phone and get an order through that is driving me mad. Hence the thought of getting someone else to sort it out for me. Imagine the hassle if something goes wrong with the Eternal delivery? I cant afford to be hanging about for even longer to get a replacement. Also remember, I am dependent on buying the exhaust and then getting someone to fit it. Too many variables to juggle presently, hence the Longlife route.
