Relitive newbie looking for some opinions please

Looking to buy another omega and this caught my eye but the temp gauge concerns me a little any thought please

I thought ex plod all had manual gear boxes  :-\

Worth a look i guess seeing as its a 3.2 for that money  :y

Nope, not all Plod 'wanna be in control'  ::) ::) ::) It's just that those who wanted a 3.2 manual had to be Plod.  ;) ;)

Thats what i was thing just the ad states the temp gauge goes to 3/4 then drops back to normal

It could be fan control is suspect. ie fans run at slow speed to start with, & then switch to high speed if that's not enough to bring the engine temp down enough. Could just be a minor point ......  :-\

Normal checks but main one being to check the coolant bottle for white/brown colour sludge .... if i found it had it i'd run away unless he took £200  ;)

Possible thermostat or as Andy said fan control issue.Wont be head gasket,so unlikely to be a huge problem. A lot of car for £400 imo. :y
Coolant tank looks ok as far as can be seen from the photo,but worth checking if viewing.

I was reading some where the other week that if Joe public wanted a manual you had to order one special ;)

In general 3.0 Omega Elites & the previous Senators would have come with an auto. A manual was a no cost option
