Half way threw the job.

Bottom shocker bolts are out but I can't seen to get them to seperate   

Is it just a case of beating the cr*p out of them to get them to part or is there a simple way ?

They are a sort of press fit. So brute force needed. I usually put the bolt back in only as deep as the end of the shock spacer and use that as leverage by hand or tap firmly but GENTLY with a hammer to lever the bugger out.

I'll have a play and see what happens but tbh, I may drop them from the top 

My axle stands are crap and I don't want to spent too much time under there

Is it an Estate?

Saloon ones tend to just drop out, Estate ones are slightly angled I think and can be a right pig!

I managed to separate the shock from its rubber bush

I managed to separate the shock from its rubber bush 

When we changed the springs on my estate we (mistakenly in hindsight) pulled the shocks off the rubber bushes because we couldn't separate them from the arms, then we had a pig of a job to get the shocks back over the rubber bushes
