misfire

Drove 30 miles tonight and parked up and the fuel light was on then 30mins later got in car and it was missing and spkuttering and wouldnt rev or go over 10mph no eml came on so I thought its not liking being low on fuel so went to the garage put 20quid in and it got better then was ok then about 10miles later the eml.came on but it was driving fine then I turned it iff and back on again and its lumpy and spluttering badly and the emks flashing. Help lol ive only had her 2 days shes a 2002 2.5 mv6

May be just a blocked fuel filter:-\  have you done the pedal trick to see if any codes logged ;)

P.S its not the pedal trick for your 2.5, its the paperclip test. :y
If you do the test and post up the results,someone will probably be able to suggest a remedy. :y

not much difference except you cant do paperclip test only pedal trick on a 2.6 :y

Would letting the fuel get low cause a misfire just seems a co incidence and,also the other,day I added an induction filter

That could be the problem :-\ pop the old filter back on and see if the problem persists :y

Put.old.filter.on and it runs fine buts its cold.now also had faukt codes 0300 0305

am i right in saying thats misfire cyl 4 and 5 which are opposite banks so unlikely to be coils? its running ok now drove it for 10minutes earlier and was fine with standard filter setup
